Mr. Tracy R. Newton age 57 of Old Tails Creek Rd. Ellijay died Thursday April 19, 2012.

Mr. Newton was born April 3, 1956 to the late Edward C. Newton and Christine Chadwick Newton. He was a 1974 graduate of Gilmer High School. He began a career in banking attending Banking School of the South and Reinhardt College School of Banking. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was former Deacon and Treasurer and taught Sunday School for the church.

Survivors Include: Wife: Lisa Sumner Newton, of the home; Son and Daughter in-law: Matthew and Krista Newton, Talking Rock, GA; Daughter & Son in-law: Kristyn & Scott Ruis, Roswell, GA; Grandchildren: Micah & Jonah Newton, Grey Ruis, and baby Newton; Brother and Sister in-law: Kenneth & Susan Newton, Rocky Face, GA; Father in-law: Herbert Sumner, Ellijay Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins,Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday April 22nd at 2 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Edmund Miller, Rev. Mark Kelly, Rev. Rubin Smith, and Rev. David Smedley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Saturday April 21st from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
