The Gilmer Girls track team placed fifth at the Region 7-AAA Track Meet, with a total of 42 points. The Boys finished 12th. Allatoona won both the Girls’ and Boys’ Region titles with 171.50 and 156 points respectively.The Lady “Cats” placing was high lighted by Brittany Lowman’s second place finish in and the 4 X 400 team placing third with a time of 4:27.80. The team consisted of Jade Green, Hope Watkins, Bailey Charles, and Megan Allen.
Only the top four place winners in each event go to sectionals.
