The event lasted from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m outside of the bank and was a special day of recognition for all of UCB’s customers. Amber Davenport, Marketing Manager for UCB, said of Customer Appreciation Day “United Community is a community bank and this is a way for the bank to give back to the community and to thank the people for their business”.

As a way of showing their support, UCB treated customers to a free lunch of hot dogs, popcorn, soda and a free tomato plant. Nancy Fangles, the balloon lady, was also at the event making balloon art for children.

Davenport also said about the day, “It’s a day that’s all about our customers. We have a great group of bankers, it’s our privilege to be their bank and we pride ourselves on the great service that we can offer. It’s just a fun day and a chance for the employees to get to know the customers and celebrate the relationship we have with them.”

UCB expected around 2500 to 3000 people at the event.
