Mary Ruth Barnes Chastain age 88, of the Tails Creek Community, Ellijay passed Wednesday, May 16th, 2012 from the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA.Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law; Nena and Buford Pritchett of Ellijay, Ollie and Charlie Sales of Austell, GA, Bernice C. Barnes of Ellijay, brother and sisters-in-laws; Earl and Wanda Barnes, Helen James Barnes both of Ellijay, several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 19th, 2012 from the Tails Creek Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Eddie Kerr, Rev. Sammy Adams and Rev. Earl Abernathy. Interment will follow in the Tails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to the Tails Creek Baptist Church, c/o Mitchell Bowen, 3096 Lower Cartecay Road, Ellijay, GA 30536.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, May 18th, 2012 at the Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
