Mrs. Elsie Barnes age 85 of Mountaintown Rd. Ellijay died Wednesday May 23, 2012.

Mrs. Barnes was born September 3, 1926 to the late Lester Corbin and Ina Mae Ellis. She worked as a secretary for Bell Air Craft and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Barnes is preceded in death by husband, Frank Barnes.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Son and Daughter in-law: Mark & Deborah Barnes, Ellijay; Daughter and Son in-law: Joy & Mark Knuckles, Hickory, NC; Grandchildren: Audrey & Jason Hardeman, Ellijay, John & Sandra Knuckles, James & Heather Knuckles, Amanda & Brad Martin, All of North Carolina Great Grandson: Luke Hardeman, Ellijay; Brother and Sister in-law: Charles & Opal Corbin, Ellijay.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 26th at 2pm from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Emmett, Rev. Norman Gibbs, and Rev. Junior Luttrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Friday May 25th from 4pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
