Mr. James Rudolph “Rudy” McVey of Ellijay departed this life on May 29, 2012.
Mr. McVey was born October 24, 1931 in Montgomery, AL. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald David McVey.
Mr. Mcvey is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary McVey of Ellijay; Sons: Rusty McVey of Ellijay and James Rudolph McVey, Jr., of Opp, AL; Brother; Elward McVey of Prattville, AL; Granddaughter: Ivy Melissa Carson, Pensacola, FL.
Mr. McVey was a retired Baptist minister and a long time business man in Ellijay as owner of Apple Country Station with his wife Mary. The body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on June 10, 2012 from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home.
