The Final Decision – Destroy the Operation of the Machine.

Opinion

Op-ed by George McClellan

“…There’s a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can’t take part. You can’t even passively take part. And you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop. And you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all.“

Mario Savio December 2, 1964.

The author of that quote, in 1964 when I was a brand new CHP officer, had organized the “Free Speech Movement” at University of California, Berkeley. Except for the Watts Riot in LA, it was the first really organized protest against the authority of the state since the Civil War. But what Mario Savio demanded with his free speech movement was the right to use nasty words, and obscene language, publicly. What started his protest was the arrest of another student for his involvement with a civil rights issue.

The point is, Americans were shocked at the behavior of these college students demanding their right to cuss. The Vietnam business was just beginning and was not yet a motive, let alone the driving force of radical liberalism America was to experience later. But the whole anarchy business gave radical students hope when College administrations started to cave in to their demands rewarding them with societal changing programs that produced nothing but trouble.

It was from this point that I measure America’s educational decline; where colleges started producing radical socialists with degrees in Liberal Philosophy and Black Studies???, and churning out people incapable of critical thought. It was here when our country’s history started to be re-written. It was here where the clash of race(s) was introduced by proponents of multiculturalism, who taught that every idea, no matter how ludicrous, was valuable, where logic and common sense were denied and opponents were decried as racists or worse.

We have come a long ways since 1964 and those radicals are now our teachers and leaders. But, the words of Mario Savio still ring true, more so today than in 1964. He’s long dead now and would never have believed that conservative Americans could embrace his statement, word for word, and use it as a weapon against the corrupt, criminal organization that the modern Democratic party under Barak Hussein Obama (peace be upon him) has become.

The roles are now reversed. The TEA Party, just like the 60’s radicals scattered throughout Colleges and universities in America then, has become the symbol of change now. The radicals are the “ins” and like a carborundum stone, the TEA Party, i.e.: concerned Americans, will grind them away. It is a long, slow, laborious process. The reins of power, although they be illegitimate and illegal, are in the hands of a Marxist usurper protected by others like radicals from that era. He now holds a gun to our heads and demands our willing compliance. He expects us to happily give in to his demands for social and economic change under the guise of “fairness and equality”.

Now, re-read the first paragraph. Take it to heart. Understand its import and realize that this coming November will be our final decision to reverse course and prevent America from sliding into the abyss of life deadening socialism. America is the worlds only beacon of hope and if that hope is extinguished, the entire world will enter a millennium of darkness from which we will never recover. Now is the time to put our shoulders to the wheel. It’s now or never. Don’t rely on God to help us. We have officially rejected him in our government, our work places and in our public places. Our Federal government has become a terrible machine. It’s past time to end it. As my TEA Party friend Jack S. say’s repeatedly: “If not you, who?; if not now, when?

”Remember, Freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Go Get ‘em! (3 June 2012)

Finally,
