Town Hall meeting on Grand Jury Report Saturday July 7th at 9 a.m.

This Saturday July 7th at 9am, as I announced to you last week I have scheduled a town hall meeting to give you, the public, my personal response to the Grand Jury Report concerning the Board of Commissioner’s investigation plus a number of other items which need our communication. The complete Board of Commissioners response to this report will be on the agenda for our meeting 7/12/12 for discussion.

This meeting July 7th at 9 am could very well be the most important meeting I have attended during my time in office. I need your presence at this meeting if you approve of my actions while in office, your support is very important. If you have questions about any of my actions while in office I would greatly appreciate knowing those as well. This could very well be a turning point in my view of what is expected of me and my office. If your schedule will permit I will encourage you to attend, bring others with you and be part of the decision making process. I will with all due respect request and encourage all of our news media to attend and give a report on this meeting.

Town Hall meeting on House Bill 277 1% TSPLOST

There will be a town hall meeting Monday July 9th at 5 pm in the Jury assembly room concerning House Bill 277. This will be a TSPLOST informational outreach meeting to pass along information you will need on this 1% sales tax so you can make a more informed vote on July 31st.

This tax is a state wide vote, but it will be broken down and decided on a regional bases. It will then if passed be used on a regional bases. This can be a very important decision for our region and for our state. PLEASE! Be informed come with an open mind on the subject, learn all you can so you will know for yourself what you are voting on July 31st and be a part, a good part, of what has made this country great.
