George Copenhaver age 63 of the Coosawattee Community in Ellijay, GA passed Saturday morning, July 1st, from his residence. Survivors include wife of 34 years; Rose McKinnie Copenhaver of the home in Ellijay, daughter and son-in-law; Heather and Chris Puckett of DeLand, FL, sons and daughters-in-law; Kevin and Judy Copenhaver of Orlando, FL, Josh and Jessica Copenhaver of DeLand, FL, five grandchildren, sisters; Joann C. O’Dell of Van Buren, AR, Denise C. Landry of Pontiac, MI, Susan C. Reed of Ellijay, Ruth Dabney of Sanderville, GA, brothers: Jerry Copenhaver of NC and Stan Copenhaver of TX.

A military memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon July 5th from the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion, with military rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard and Rev. Jim Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the North Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at 11:30 a.m., Friday morning, July 6th.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon July 5th at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion.
