The Gilmer County Swim Team and the Coosawattee Torpedoes participated in the 2012 GMSL Championship on Saturday, as both teams’ swimmers competed for the fastest times against the Pickens Sea Dragons and the Gold Rush from Lumpkin County.

The day of races was a diver’s delight, as the Gilmer County swimming pool featured a total of eighty-six heats with swimmers from ages four to seventeen. Results from several of the races can be seen below.

The best of the best from both of these teams will show what they are made of this weekend, as the GRPA B/C State competition will be held Saturday and Sunday in Tifton, Georgia. Swimmers from ages six to ten will compete on Saturday, while swimmers from ages eleven to eighteen will duke it out the following day.
