Daniel “Dan” Francis Beswick age 55 of Ellijay, passed from this life on Thursday, July 12, 2012.He was born May 11th, 1957 in Atlanta, Fulton County, GA. He was a graduate of Willis High School in Smyrna, GA and the Gemological College in Knoxville, TN. Dan was employed as a gemologist for J. C. Penney for many years and served as a cook in many local restaurants. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Powell Beswick.

Dan is survived by his uncle, Dale Powell of Ellijay, several cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday morning, July 20th, 2012 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the Cartecay United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Family and friends will gather at the Logan Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m Friday morning before the service.
