Elder Lawrence Mooney age 90 of Roy Rd. Ellijay died Wednesday July 19, 2012.

Elder Mooney was born January 18, 1921 in Gilmer Co. He is the son of the late Elder T.C. Mooney and Ollie Weaver Mooney. He is a veteran serving in the U.S Army as an Airplane Mechanic. Elder Mooney was an honorary pastor for Blue Ridge Primitive Baptist Church and Tickantley Primitive Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by Wife, Annette Smith Mooney and daughter, Eller Ride Halgh.

Survivors Include: Daughters: Hilda Bramlett, Smyrna, GA, Donna Bishop, Chatsworth, GA; Son: Steve Mooney, Lampasas, TX; Sisters: Edna Vickers, Ellijay, Clara Wheeler, Ellijay, Hazel Smith, Chatsworth, GA, Rebbie Bullock, Shalimar, FL; Aunt: Zinner Weaver, Dahlonega, GA; 5 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Monday July 23rd at 2pm from the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church with Eld. Harold Hunt, Eld. Edward Vickers and Eld. Paul Mooney officiating. The body will lie-in-state from 1pm until 2pm at the Church. Interment will follow in the Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Sunday July 22nd from 2pm until 7pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
