Mr. Kem Burrell age 68 of Round Top Rd. Ellijay, GA died Monday July 30, 2012.

Mr. Burrell was born May 4, 1944 to the late Grover T. Burrell and Elsie Hefner Burrell. He was a 1963 graduate of Gilmer High School, was involved in the original Gilmer County EMA , a member of Sunlight Baptist Church and was retired from Lochkeed-Martin Aircraft were he worked in Electrical Assembly. He preceded in death by parents, and mother in-law Buena Hales.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Wife: Rebecca “Becky” Hales Burrell, of the home. Sons and Daughters in-law: Tim & Tracy Burrell, Palmetto, GA Greg & Jessica Burrell, Ellijay Brothers and Sisters in-law: Sam & Emilee Burrell, Ellijay Ronnie & Annette Hefner, Ellijay Sisters: Louise & Eddie Thomas, Ellijay Marie Overton, Ellijay 5 Grandchildren Savannah & Chandler Burrell Tina & Hannah Bush Braxton Burrell Father in-law: Rev. Hoyt Hales, Ellijay Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 2nd at 3 pm from the Sunlight Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Pettit, Rev. Ricky Brown, and Rev. Mitchell Pack officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunlight Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday July 31st from 6 pm until 9 pm and All Day Wednesday August 1st until 9 pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
