Loren Maxwell, who has worked with sports ratings for over twenty-five years, has released his predictions on the 2012 high school football season for high schools across the state of Georgia.
Mr. Maxwell was nice enough to send us a detailed look at how his computer rankings see the season playing out for the Gilmer Bobcats. It is important to note that the computer doesn’t take into account any changes a team may have (new head coach, transfers, etc.), but instead relies heavily on the team’s history. Included in his game-by-game look is the date of the game, the opponent, the predicted spread of the game, and the Bobcats’ probability of winning.
According to these predictions, Gilmer will have back-to-back winning seasons, which would be the first time the school has accomplished this feat since 1997.
The 6-3 record for the Bobcats places them tied for first in the region with Cedartown, with Cedartown holding the tiebreaker with the win on November 2nd.
