Residents flocked to the North Georgia Gun show this weekend at the Gilmer County Civic Center on South Main Street in Ellijay. The show was held by the North Georgia Gun show, hosting approximately 85 vendor tables from various locations in North Georgia, such as Rome, to other locations as far as North Carolina. Tables included firearms both old and new. Numerous tables displayed 19th century revolvers, as well as modern handguns, such as Glock 9mms. Standing racks with shotguns, rifles and the occasional custom curio stood against the back wall, while ammunition was sold in a separate room, offering a wide selection of ammo along with speed-loaders and magazines.
By noon the center was packed with enthusiasts, mulling up and down the rows, not only browsing the assortment of firearms, but knives and Civil War memorabilia.
The next North Georgia Gun show will be in Blairsville at the Haralson Memorial Civic Center on Friday, September 7th from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
