Apple Mountain Playhouse Announces Event on Saturday 09/08/12

Event This Saturday Night From 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Apple Mountain Playhouse. Below is a letter from John Christian, Apple Mountain Playhouse:

Greetings!

We hope you can come this Saturday night, September 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. We will have some wine and small treats to eat, John will be doing a portrait demostration in oils from 6:30 to 8:00 and we are looking for a model to pose. If you would like to pose let us know by tomorrow.

The day is almost here and I am looking forward to this event more that any arts event I have ever been a part of. I have promoted hundreds of events both plays and art shows but this is the first time it is all my own art. After being a professional artist my entire life this is my first fine art show. Bring a artist is a very spiritual thing for me and I hope that I can one day be on the level of some of my artist heroes of the old masters.

I am finding my self that I am getting faster and faster painting and I’ve been driving all over the county looking for great photos to paint. This is a fundraiser so we are selling raffle tickets for $10.00 each. The first one hundred tickets sold winner gets the first choice of the available paintings. We will have three draws and after that the other paintings will be auctioned off on September 8th at the playhouse.

I will be at the Ellijay, square this coming First Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 displaying all of the paintings and drawing pencil sketches. I hope you come on by I am only charging $10.00
