Mrs. Ethel Forrester Reece age 89 of Lower Cartecay Rd. Ellijay died Saturday September 15, 2012.

Mrs. Reece was born on April 24, 1923 in Gilmer Co. She is the daughter of the late Ernest Forrester and Elsie Chadwick Forrester. She was an Avon sales representative for 53 years, a member of the Ellijay Lions Club for 19 years and a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church. Beside her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Reece, a brother Ermel Forrester and an infant sister Elizabeth Forrester.

Survivors include: Son & daughter–in-law: Michael & Cindy Reece, Ellijay; Grandchildren: Stephanie Reece Fendley & Chris Fendley & Jason Reece all of Ellijay; Sister: Emma Lou Stover, Ellijay; Brothers: Edwin Forrester, Ellijay, Euthel Forrester, Dalton; Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday September 17, 2012 at 4 pm from the Clear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Dotson & Rev. Coy Richards officiating. The body will lie-in-state from 3pm until 4pm at the Church.

Interment will be in the Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday September 16th from 2 pm until 9 pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ellijay Lions Club Charities Inc. at P.O. Box 746 Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mrs. Reece.
