GILMER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PUBLIC HEARING & REGULAR BOARD MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT. PUBLIC HEARING at 5:30p.m. REGULAR BOARD MEETING at 6:00 p.m.
THURSDAY : SEPTEMBER 27th, 2012
LOCATION: GILMER COUNTY COURTHOUSE JURY ASSEMBLY ROOM PUBLIC HEARING
TIME: 5:30 p.m.
Pursuant to the Georgia Constitution Article IX, Section II, Paragraph 1, et seq., the Gilmer County Board of Commissioners propose to amend an act creating The Board of Commissioners of Gilmer County, approved March 27, 1995 (Ga. L. 1995, p. 3824) as amended, so as to change the provision related to the purchasing of goods and services and competitive bids requirement, to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes. The Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendment at 5:30 p.m. on September 27, 2012 at the Gilmer County Courthouse – Jury Assembly Room and to vote on the amendment at the regular meeting of the Commissioners to be held at 6:00 p.m. on September 27, 2012 in the Jury Assembly Room of the Gilmer County Courthouse and to final adopt the amendment at the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held at 6:00 p.m. on October 11, 2012 in the Jury Assembly Room of the Gilmer County Courthouse.

A copy of the proposed amended ordinance is available for examination and inspection by the public at the office of the Board of Commissioners, 1 Broad Street, Ellijay, Georgia, and at the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court, located in the Gilmer County Courthouse, 1 Broad Street, Ellijay, Georgia.
