Herbert “Herb” Johnson Sharp, Jr. age 74, of the Talona Mountain Community, Ellijay, GA passed on Tuesday October 23rd, 2012 at his residence.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 26th 2012 from the First Baptist Church of Ellijay. Officiating will be Dr. David Drake and Dr. Milton Perry. Interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery.

Survivors include: wife of 56 years Kay Wallace Sharp of the home in Ellijay, GA, daughter and son-in-law; Stacy Sharp and Tom Morgan of Marietta, GA, son and daughter-in-law; Scott and Lara Sharp of Ellijay, GA, grandchildren; Mary Beth Morgan, Tip Morgan, Erica Sharp and Jordan Sharp, sisters and brother-in-law; Polly Sue and Ron Benson of Sewickley, PA, Linda Lee and Howard Abney of Watkinsville, GA, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Family will receive friends from 4 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25th, 2012 at Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.

Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Ellijay Building Fund, 164 Dalton Street, Ellijay, Georgia 30540, in memory of Mr. Sharp.
