EES Teacher of the Year

Ellijay Elementary School proudly recognizes our 2012-13 Teacher of the Year, Angie Booker. Angie graduated from North Georgia College with her Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She continued her education at Piedmont College, where she earned her Masters and Specialist degrees.

Angie began her teaching career at EES. She taught 3rd grade for 6 years and currently serves as an early intervention teacher. Angie is a very motivating force in the classroom. Her love of teaching is very evident in her work inside and outside the classroom. She is an inspiration to her students and her peers. When asked about what she has learned from teaching Angie states,

“Teaching truly comes from heart. Inspiring children to learn and believing in them gives students the confidence to reach their potential.”
