Mr. Samuel “Sam” Curtis Smith, Jr. age 49 of Owltown Farm Dr. Ellijay died Sunday October 21, 2012.

Mr. Smith was born on August 17, 1963 in Illinois. He is the son of the late Samuel Curtis Smith, Sr. and Betty Sue McCloud Smith. He worked as a resource officer for the Gilmer County School System and was a member of the Cross Road Christian Fellowship.

Survivors include: Wife: Lorie Smith of the home; Daughters: Nichole, Staci and Gabriella Smith all of Ellijay; Sisters: Lynn Terrel, AZ, Sherry Goodman, IL.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 27, 2012 at 2 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral with Pastor Chad Kelly officiating. Music will be by Mike Mayfield.

Interment will be in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday October 26th from 6 pm until 9 pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
