Downtown Ellijay Annual Halloween Celebration

Oct. 31st was a night of haunts, hoots and trick or treating in downtown Ellijay. The evening was enjoyed by the very young to adults of all ages.
The annual Halloween celebration began at 5:30 p.m. North Main Street was closed and River Street and the square hosted events and vendors. Downtown businesses decorated their windows and gave out candy. Other businesses and organizations enjoyed the “Trunk-or-Treat,” which was backing a car or truck into a designated space to give out candy.

The winners of the annual Halloween pet contest judged by the VCA Appalachian Animal Hospital are below included in the Halloween slideshow.
