Light Up Ellijay will be held Friday, November 23rd all day in downtown Ellijay with the Christmas Parade at 6:00 p.m.

The Downtown Ellijay Christmas Tour of Homes is Saturday, November 24th from 11 a.m – 4:00 p.m. Tickets $20, available at several downtown businesses, Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce and the Ellijay Better Hometown office.

Saturday, Nov. 24 Christmas Tour of Homes
Step back in time to get a taste of life in Ellijay in the late 1800s and early 1900s touring three homes on River Street and the Tabor House on Spring Street.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Christmas House/Interiors, The Antique Show, Cartecay River Trading Company, Whistletree Pottery, City Hall, and the Chamber of Commerce

Beneath an imaginary giant Christmas Tree would be lots of giants gifts. There they are, all over downtown. In the next few days, the corners will be bursting with gift boxes showing off the spirit and imagination of our local merchants. Come take a look, or bring a gift of your own – no bigger than four feet, weatherproof, weighted down, and your name on an appropriately sized tag. Splatter and Drip
Better Hometown has joined with John Christian and Apple Mountain Playhouse to offer chances to win some of John’s artwork and help the theatre. Volunteer Opportunities
· A few more docents are needed for the tour of homes.
· We would like to have a few downtown docents as well.
· We need someone to take videos and photos both Friday and Saturday.
