Robert Henry DeBoard age 82, of the Tails Creek Community, passed from this life on Saturday, December 15th, 2012, at his residence.Robert was of the Baptist faith, served honorably in the United States Army, and was a retired heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his life long companion Betty Pinson DeBoard of Ellijay, sister, Jeanette DeBoard Carter of Dawsonville, GA, brother, Charles DeBoard of Ellijay, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19th, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Roy Scott and Rev. Robert Southern officiating, and Rev. Irene Wofford providing ministery of music. A military interment service will follow in the Logan Funeral Home pavilion with military rites by the North Georgia honor guard. Interment will then follow in the Ellijay city cemetery, in the DeBoard family lot. Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 200 West Emory Street, Suite 3, Dalton, GA 30720.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. lasting until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18th, at the Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
