Dorothy Mary Dalrymple : Obituary

Dorothy Mary Dalrymple, age 84, of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Thursday January 10th, 2013 at her daughter’s home following an extended illness.Mrs. Dalrymple was born on May 29th, 1928 to her late parents Robert Joseph and Lela Wheeler Burgess in Ellijay, GA. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Ellijay. She retired as a nurse, who was employed by many local doctors in Ellijay. Mrs. Dalrymple is preceded in death by her husband Bill Quinton Dalrymple.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00pm on Sunday January 13th, 2013 at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones, Rev. Ty Hopkins, Rev. Leon Pettit and Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Dalrymple is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-law, Cheryl and Charles Barclay of Ellijay; Son and Daughter-in-law, Larry and Bonnie Dalrymple of Ellijay; Grandchildren, Tina Collins, Steve and Kevin Dalrymple, Eric and Brent Barclay, Katie and Sarah Myers; Twelve Great Grandchildren; Two Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister, Nellie Mulkey; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Sue and Ronnie West, Jean and Harold Reece, Edmund and Glenda Dalrymple all of Ellijay, Jack and Grace Dalrymple of Anderson, SC.

The family is receiving friends on Saturday January 12th, 2013 from 2:00pm-9:00pm at the Logan Funeral Home.
