Mr. Doug L. Emory, age 69, of Vick Dr. Ellijay, died Saturday January 26, 2013.
Mr. Emory was born May 20,1943 in Smyrna ,GA the son of the Late T.A. and Alice Lowery Emory. He worked as an auto tech for America’s Service Station and was a former member of the Jaycee’s in TX, and served in the US Navy.
Survivors Include: Wife of 24 years: Mary Emory of the home; Son: Thad Emory, TX, Daughters: Callie Jordan, TX, Tonya Klein, Ballground; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; Brother: Gary Emory, Rome; Sisters: Linda Caldwell, Canton, Judy Thrasher, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 31,2013 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Edmund Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Emory Family Cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Wed from 2pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
