Gilmer High School head football coach, Wesley Tankersley, was selected to be a member of the coaching staff for the West team in the inaugural “Rising Senior All-Star Game” also reffered to as the “Georgia Junior Bowl.”Tankersley, a GHS alum, was selected to be a part of Chip Walker’s staff. Walker is the head coach of Sandy Plains High School.
The “Georgia Junior Bowl” is the first high school football All-Star game for juniors. In addition to the players selected to play in the game, over 400 underclassmen will be invited to part in a football skills challenge.
