Frances Tuggle Ponder : Obituary

Frances Tuggle Ponder age 74, of the New Hope Community, Ellijay, Georgia, passed Wednesday evening, March 6th, 2013, at her residence.She was a member of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. Born Febuary 4, 1939, to her late parents Alvin and Edna Belle Wood Tuggle, in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, Georgia.

Frances is survived by her husband of fifty years, Robert E. Ponder, of the home in Ellijay, Ga.; daughter Debra Ponder Griffin of Ellijay, Georgia; sons and daughter-in-law; John and Teresa Hughes of Eaton, Georgia, Ronnie Edward Hughes of Ellijay, Ga., and Robert Ponder, Jr. of Ellijay, Ga.; grandchildren Bridgett Ledford, Damon Hughes, Rollia Griffin, Emiley Griffin, Jessie Ponder, and Feleena Hughes; six great grandchildren; sisters Geraldine Tuggle Dorimeny of Dawsonville, Ga. and Gail Tuggle Whitworth of Talking Rock, Ga.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon, March 8, at the Logan Funeral Home and Chapel and end at 9:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9th, from the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, with Rev. Scott Watkins and Rev. Wallace Parks officiating, interment to follow in the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
