The Gilmer High School Bobcats soccer teams hosted the Cedartown Bulldogs on “Senior Night.” Both the girls and boys visiting teams posted wins, with the girls winning with a one nil shut out, and the boys posting a 3-2 victory. In between games graduating seniors and their parents were acknowledged.The Lady “Cats” couldn’t overcome the Cedartown goal scored at the 13:24 of the first half despite multiple shot on goal.

The Bobcats’ boys faced an early deficit after a Bulldogs goal with 12:16 left in the first half. Chris Perego tied the game with a goal of his own with 5:52 left in the first half.

The Bulldogs bit twice again, once more before the half and again with 10:29 left in the game for a 3-1 advantage.

A penalty kick goal by Manny Lopez with 8:06 left cut the deficit to one; however the “Cats” could not catch the “Dawgs.”
