Mrs. Ruby Mae Banks age 87 of Ellijay died Tuesday March 26, 2013 after a short illness at Heritage Healthcare Center in Blue Ridge, GA.

Mrs. Banks was born June 22, 1925 in Cherokee Co. She is the daughter of the late William Arthur Moss and Mary Madie Mullins Moss. She was a homemaker and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Everett Banks, and daughters JoAnn Malone and Susan Sellers.

Survivors include: daughters & son-in-law: Diane & Jerry O’Shields, Jasper, Martha J. Stepp, Epworth, Glenda Josephine Gofoth, Dalton, sister: Mattie Sanford Morris, Ellijay, 9 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 29, 2013 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Emuel Sanford & Rev. Lonnie Wright officiating.

Interment will be held in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday March 28th from 11am until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
