Grover Kent : Obituary

Grover Douglas Kent, age 70, of the Cartecay Community passed from this life on Saturday, April 6th, 2013. He was born December 17th, 1942 to his late parents, Grover Phillip and Jessie Lou Beatty Kent in Jackson County, Georgia. After graduating high school Mr. Kent became owner and operator of Kent’s Paint and Body Shop in Gainesville, Georgia, which operated for 52 years. He is preceded in death by son Dale in 2011.

Funeral service will be 2:00 Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Wendell Stover, Elder Michael Connley, Rev. Larry Stover and Rev. Roger Stover officiating. Graveside interment will follow in the Cartecay United Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Kent, Steven Kent, Bobby Stover, Sammy Stover, Mark Stover, Shawn Stovall, Adam Stover, and Ernie Stover.

Survivors include wife of 48 years Gyann Stover Kent of the home in Ellijay, daughters and sons in law; Krista and Scott Martin of Calhoun, GA, Britnee and Chris Tow of Adairsville, GA, daughter-in-law; Gale Waters, grandchildren; Madison and McKenzie Martin, Jake, Sam, and Ben Tow, sisters, brother and in-laws; Donald and Sandra Kent, Pat and Kenny Whitey and Kathy Jarrard.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 9pm, Tuesday, April 9th, 2013 at the Logan Funeral Home.
