Mrs. Sonja Katherine Self age 58 of Bushy Head Rd Cherry Log died Friday April 12, 2013.
Mrs. Self was born September 16,1954 in Cleveland, TN the daughter of the late Estes and Ellen Beavers Higdon. She was a Respiratory Therapist and a member of the First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Patricia Chancey and Andrea Higdon.
Survivors include; Husband: Carl Self of the home, Children and in-laws: Devin, Aden, Kayla and Heaven Self all of the home, Stephanie and Wally Stover, Ellijay, Dana and Matt Penland, Ellijay, Step-daughter: Tammy Gibbs, Cleveland, TN, Sandra Reid, Marble, N.C., Carla Shoemaker, Blairsville, Sister: Shirley Hughes, Ducktown, TN, 12 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday April 14, 2013 at 2:00pm from the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Drake and Pastor Steve Fields officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Fannin county.
The family will meet with friends Saturday from 2 until 8pm at the funeral home.
