Mr. Melvin Maynard Gilreath, age 48 of Jasper, Ga. passed on Sunday May 5th, 2013 at the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Mr. Gilreath was born on May 26, 1964 to his late father Melvin Eugene Gilreath and mother Mamie Sarah Buchanan in Tate, Ga. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Dawson County.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm on Thursday May 9th, 2013 from the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Dawson County with Rev. Clyde Boling officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Gilreath is survived by his daughter, Ashley Nicole Gilreath and Brian Wilgers of Jasper; Grandchildren, Bailey and Bryan Wilgers; mother, Mamie Bowers of Jasper; Sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra and B.J. Cannady of Jasper, Ga, Lorene Kent of Marble Hill, Ga; Brothers and sister-in-law, Randall and Lynn Gilreath of Jasper, Ga, Kenneth Gilreath of Jasper, Ga and E.J. Kent of Marble Hill, Ga.
The family will receive friends at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Dawson County on Thursday May 9th, 2013 from 11:00am till the funeral at 2:00pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
