Mrs. Frances M. Allen age 85 of Ellijay, GA died Wednesday May 8, 2013.

Mrs. Allen was born May 17, 1927 to the late Sam May and Sara Camelia Wishon May. Mrs. Allen was a life long resident of Gilmer County, was retired from Blue Ridge Carpet Mills and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. She was of the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by husband, Quinton Allen, brothers, Bernard May and Ray May, sister, Helen Key.

Survivors include: Step-daughter: Shelia Chadwick, Ellijay; Brother: Newell May, Ellijay; Sister: Alma Luttrell, Ellijay; Special Friends: Staff of Gilmer Nursing Home and her home caregivers. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Friday May 10th at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Sam May, Rev. Bryan Hensley and Rev. Edmund Miller officiating. Interment will follow Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery.

Family will receive friends Thursday May 9th from 5pm until 9pm at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
