Mr. Tommy A. Gates age 53, of Jewell Garrett Rd. Ellijay died Monday May 13, 2013.

Mr. Gates was born September 26, 1959 in Cherokee County the son of Paul Gates and the late Betty Keener Gates. He graduated from Gilmer High School and Southern Tech and worked at as a OJT technician for Lockheed, was a member of the Blaine Lodge #534 and East Ellijay Baptist Church.

Survivors include; Wife; Jif Gates of the home in Ellijay, Son; Neil Gary, Ellijay, Daughter; Elise Gates, Ellijay, Father; Paul Gates, Ellijay, sister and brother-in-law: Jody and John Holmes, Ellijay Mother-in-law: Aretta Newton , Ellijay 2 grandchildren; Abraham Noah Gary and Eli Mason Gary. Uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 15,2013 at 4:00pm from the East Ellijay Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Fields officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery with graveside rites by the Blaine Lodge # 534 F&AM.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 2 until 9pm at the funeral home.
