Gilmer Arts & Heritage Association is offering the following classes in June and July:

Becky’s watercolor classes are extremely popular and fill up quickly with students driving from all over North Georgia and the North Carolina area to participate. You will learn color mixing, theory, and techniques during this class. With step-by-step instructions, students leave with a completed painting. Bring a potluck lunch to share. June 24- “Lemonade on the Porch”, June 25- “Summer House”
$60 per class: 10am- 4pm
Secrets of Successful Watercolors
Max Muller is an award winning watercolor artist that has recently moved to Ellijay, GA. With 30 years of experience, Max is eager to teach beginning to advanced students. His watercolor workshop is built around you and your needs. Please bring in reference material and he will work with you on any subject matter. Max is an award winning artist himself and has been a demonstrating artist for Grumbacher and also an Instructor at Ringling School for the Arts. Yoga Collage with Noor Moody
Noor has been a student, teacher of Yoga since 1978. She graduated from Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy in 1995 and is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Georgia. Learn the art of relaxation and the science of breathing along with postures to strengthen your body. Benefits to Yoga include; reduced stress, relief of pain, improved flexibility, strength and balance. Noor creates a safe environment for personal development, health, and well-being, through the practice of Yoga. Saturdays: July 13, 20, 27, & August 3rd from 10:00- 11:30 am. $60 for the series, a supply list will be provided upon sign-up.
Individual Art Instruction with Mark Menendez
Mark has been drawing and painting for most of his life. As an accomplished instructor, join Mark for a complimentary trial class if you are looking to increase your current skill level. Bring your colored pencils, oil, acrylics, watercolor, or pastel works in progress. Students work on different projects while receiving individual instruction. Fridays 10am-12pm.Call to verify schedule.
Music Workshop for Kids with Megan Williams
Megan is a certified Musikgarten teacher and musician. She is excited about sharing her love of music with children. Megan has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Therapy, and a Master’s in Special Education. She is looking forward to singing and playing instruments with children 3-5. Parents are also encouraged to actively be involved in the class. With so much fun going around, you won’t be able to sit still!
