Possible Broken Brakes Cause Crash at Rite-Aid

On Friday August 2, 2013 at approximately 1:00pm a woman driving a Ford Expedition SUV traveling down Laurel St. in East Ellijay, crossed over 1st Avenue and rolled through the Rite-Aid parking lot, through the fence and over the embankment before her SUV came to a stop just before 515. Ga. State Patrol confirmed to FYN that the woman reported that her brakes failed while traveling down Laurel St.The driver was the only person in the vehicle, no other cars were involved in the accident, nor were any pedestrians struck. The driver has been taken to a local hospital with possible injuries.
