Mrs. China Lavada Sanford Davenport, age 92 of Ellijay, Georgia died on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at her residence.China was born on December 2nd, 1920 in Ellijay, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Tom Sanford and the late Martha Dotson Sanford and the wife of the late Waldo Davenport. China was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Patricia Ellis of Ellijay, GA, grandchildren, Casey Ellis of Ellijay, GA, Candace and Cameron Sanford of Ellijay, GA., brother, Tom B. Sanford of Ellijay, GA; nieces and nephews, Jack and Melanie Sanford of Ellijay, GA, Curtis Sanford of Stone Mountain, GA, Connie Simms of Ellijay, GA, Robin and Rev. Dwayne McPherson of Ellijay, GA, Martha and Michael Sheffield of Chatsworth, GA.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday September 21st, 2013 at Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwayne McPherson and Rev. Brondy Davis officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Singing will be by Mrs. Eva Reece. Pallbearers will be Cameron Sanford, Zachary Sanford, Casey Ellis, Ronnie Davis, Walter Edmondson and Tommy McPherson.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, September 20, 2013, at the Logan Funeral Home.
