Mrs. Naomi Jeanne Cooney, age 69 of Ellijay, GA, passed away Sunday morning, September 22nd, 2013, from the Heritage Healthcare Center of Blue Ridge, GA.Mrs. Cooney was born March 4th, 1944 in Fort Wayne, IN to her late parents Sherman Loy and Naomi Ruth Lutes White. After graduating Littleton High School, class of 1962, Naomi went on to become manager of supplies for Westinghouse. She was member of the Good Samaritan Catholic Church.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, September 28th, 2013 from the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion, with Father Carlos Vargas officiating.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Nicholas A. Tores, Sr., of Ellijay, GA; Sisters and brother-in-law, Catherine Anne White Hanson of Wake Forest, NC, Marilyn and Ronnie Towns of Cherry Log, GA; Brother, Stephen Lee White of Deltona, FL; Niece, Carissa Danielle Rosenburg; and Nephew, Chad Anthony Massaker.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA 30721 in memory of Mrs. Cooney.
Family will receive friends following the service on Saturday, September 28th, 2013 at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion.
