Mr. William T. “Willie” Charles age 76 Ray Mt. Terrace, Ellijay died Saturday Oct. 5, 2013.Mr. Charles was born October 19, 1936 in Gilmer County, the son of the late Hershel and Minnie Langley Charles. He was a veteran serving with the US Air Force, worked as an equipment operator for Dillard Smith Company and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters Kermit Charles, Georgia Ann Hyde, Buel Charles and Virginia Smith.
Survivors include; sons; Greg Charles, KY, Gary and Patrick Charles, both of Jasper, Special Friend; Judy Dover, Ellijay, brother; Elmo Charles, McCaysville, sisters; Claudia Brown, Ellijay, Jewell Franklin, Cumming. Granddaughter; Emily Charles, KY, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday Oct. 7, 2013 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Pack officiating. Interment will be in the Rock Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Sunday from 11:00am until 9pm at the Funeral Home.
