Elsie P. Sanford : Obituary

Mrs. Elsie P. Sanford age 83 of Ellijay, Georgia passed from this life on Tuesday October 29th, 2013 at the Heritage Healthcare Center in Jasper, GA. She was born March 29th, 1930 to her parents in Franklin, N.C. She was a member of Pleasant Gap Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Robert Shaw and Gold Kist Poultry. She is preceded in death by husband L.B. Sanford, sister Mae Chambless and brothers Blanton Cochran, and Clifton Cochran. Donations may be made to the Pleasant Gap Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 656 Pleasant Gap Road, Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mrs. Sanford.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Charles and Susan Sanford of Ellijay, GA.; granddaughter and in-law Lindsay and David Clayton of Ellijay; great grand children Bryson and Eli; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Cecil and Geraldine Defoor of Ellijay, and J.S. and Sara Ann Defoor of Fayetteville, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 1st, 2013 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Dotson and Rev. Emmett Burgess officiating. Committal service will follow in the Chapel. Interment will be in the Pleasant Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 31st, 2013 from 4pm until 9pm at Logan Funeral Home.
