James Cantrell : Obituary

Mr. James Larry Cantrell, age 83 of Ellijay, passed Friday morning, November 1st, 2013. He was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ, born February 27th, 1931 in Dawsonville, GA to his late parents Herman Waldo and Estalena Crain Cantrell. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force in Korea. He was employed at Lockheed as a tool builder and was owner and operator of Custom Cabinets Shop. He is preceded in death by daughters Debra Kay and Susan Genelle Cantrell.

Survivors include wife of 56 years, Genelle Hall Cantrell of the home in Ellijay; Daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Garry Rittenberry of Talking Rock, GA; Grandchildren, Jennifer and Robert Burton of Talking Rock, GA, Stephanie and Matt Watkins of Ellijay, GA, Jessica and Reid Cochran of Hampton, VA; Great grandchildren, Landon Burton and Alli Burton; Sister, Cecile Cantrell Evans of Dawsonville, GA, also survives.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 3rd, 2013 from the Ellijay Church of Christ, with Minister Butch Jones and Minister Terry Stuart officiating. Music and vocals will be by Barry Kingsley and Ellijay Church of Christ congregational singing. Military honors will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military rites by the United States Air Force and the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery.
