Lucille Kincaid West : Obituary

Mrs. Lucille K. West age 91 of Hwy 52E Ellijay died Thursday November 28, 2013.Mrs. West was born November 18, 1922 in Gilmer county. She retired after 40 plus years of service with the Gilmer County Board of Education working as a lunchroom worker at Oakland Elementary school. She was also a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the Ellijay Chapter # 340 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Q. B. West.

Survivors include: daughter and son in-law; Joyce and Leslie Richards, Ellijay, son and daughter-in-law; Ronald and Brenda West, Ellijay, Nephew and spouse, David and Sharon Kincaid, Ellijay, 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.Several other nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00pm from the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Monroe Gunter, Rev. Emmett Burgess and Rev. Scott Chastain officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Friday from 2 until 9pm at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery fund % Foster McArthur 170 Dogwood Road Ellijay,Ga 30536 in memory of Mrs. West. The family also request no food be brought to the funeral home.
