It is with great sorrow that the family of Charles Edwin Thomas also known as “The Ford Man”, 73 of Ellijay announces his passing.He was born August 13, 1940 in Buford, GA. He graduated Buford High School, served the US Army in Japan and came home to meet and marry his true love and companion Cora Mae Savage. He retired from the Ford Motor Company. He was a good husband, proud father and an even more proud grandfather.

His wife of 52 years, Cora Mae, daughters; Denise Smith, Cecilia Deibler, Marcie Vadner, grandchildren; Bradley Smith, Wayne Smith, Nicki Smith, Jason King, Emily Deibler, and Noah Deibler will miss him greatly and are very blessed to be a part of his life.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday December 18, 2013 at 6:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 3:00pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
