Venalee Young : Obituary

VenaLee Green “Billie” Young, age 82 passed from this life on Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 in Morganton, Georgia.She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church for 41 years, born on April 19th, 1931 in Blue Ridge, Georgia, to her late parents Ocran and Nila Aaron Green. Mrs. Young worked 17 years and retired with Levi-Strauss.
Survivors include husband of 60 years, Charles E. Young of the home in Morganton; children and in-laws, Sherry and Bryan Wright of Morganton, Georgia, Joey and Bernice Young of Blue Ridge, Georgia; grandchildren, Kaytie and Shane Dilbeck, Austin Wright and Dillon Wright; brother-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Jerry Young of Sweetwater, Texas, Selma Helton of Cherrylog, Georgia, Trudy Leflore of Red Oak, Texas, Joyce Young of Ellijay, Georgia; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 20th, 2013 at Rock Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Young will lie-in-state at the church from 1:30 p.m until 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Adam Fleming and Rev. Tony Gilbert., music and vocals by the Rock Creek Baptist Church Choir. Graveside committal service will follow in the Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dillon Wright, Austin Wright, Micah Gilbert, Samuel Gilbert, and Brian Roper.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 20th, 2013, from 4 until 9 p.m. at the Logan Funeral Home.
