Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

Now that the whole world knows that President Obama is a proven liar, I would think that those who fell for the con man and charlatan, Eagleburger warned us about, would at least question what he says and listen to other sources of news.
One week before the presidential election in 2008, former Secretary of State Eagleburger stated on Fox News; “I can’t believe this country is about to elect a con man and charlatan as President” Those of us who had not been misled by the Mainstream Media into thinking that Fox News was evil, listened to what he and others had to say about the socialist background and associations of then candidate Obama.

We then tried to get the more naive among us to pay attention to the alarming associations and statements of candidate Obama, but they were caught up in the hysteria of the moment and we were drowned out by their child like chant of “yes we can”

It was therefore, no surprise to those of us who don’t get our news from the Mainstream Media (NBC, CNN, MSNBC etc.) that this past week, Politifact (the website dedicated to checking the validity of political statements) designated President Obama’s emphatic and oft repeated statement of; “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan…period” as the “Lie of the Year” Did you ever think the president of the United States would be guilty of telling the lie of the year? On top of that, Politico, the left leaning internet news organization, just came out with its “Top ten lies of the year” and president Obama is credited with telling three of the top ten lies of the year.

Worse yet, under Obama, the whole Federal Government has been turned into a lying machine, from the NSA saying the government is not spying on Americans, to the government lying about inflation and unemployment, to the State Department lie that Benghazi was caused by a video, to the Dept. of Health & Human Services saying that the Obamacare website is working well and your financial and medical information are safe. About that last one, ask yourself, how can a website, that can barely register you, keep your information safe?

Conservatives have long been aware of president Obama’s lies, starting with; “there will be no lobbyists in my administration” to this most recent whopper. And before it’s too late, we hope that those who misplaced their trust in president Obama, will see him for what he is…a con man, pushing failed polices who can not be trusted to tell the truth.

  • WOW! That was a whopper. Remember this one? Iraq has WMD. Remember this one? Our Sec of State says they have mobile Labs to process Chemical Weapons. Remember this one? Iraq bought Yellow Cake from Africa. Remember this one? The hijacker met in Baghdad. How many American deaths did they cost? How many Americans are wounded for life? How many hundreds of billions of dollars did it cost and still going? Oh, wait, that was NOT OBAMA. Sorry.
