Rettie Thompson Hice : Obituary

Mrs. Rettie Thompson Hice age 99 of Hice Dr. Ellijay died Wednesday January 29, 2014.Mrs. Hice was born September 2, 1914 in Gilmer County the daughter of the late Mack and Victoria Weaver Thompson. She worked many years as a Floor Lady for Hampton Mills and was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents , Husband Ewiel Hice,Sr, sons Charles Hice and Lawton Hice and a grandson Billy Hagin.

Survivors include: Sons and daughter-in-law: Ewiel and Maybelle Hice, Jr. Ellijay, Ruel Hice, Cherry Log, Daughters and sons-in-law: Margie Hice Hagin, Cherry Log, Evelyn Hice Griffin, Houston, TX, Chris Hice and Herbert Waldman, Marietta, Carolyn Hice and Ed Bruce, Ellijay. 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00pm from the Rock Creek Baptist church with Dr. Jody Hice, Rev. Kenny Hagin and Rev. Jerry Stover officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Friday and Saturday from 4 until 9 pm at the funeral home.

The family request no food be brought to the funeral home.
