Mr. Michael Scott Drummond, age 39 of Ellijay, Georgia died on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Born March 11, 1974 in Orlando, Florida, he was the son of Almond Drummond and the late Peggy Drummond. Mike was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cherry Log, GA. He was a graduate of Osceola County High School and like his mother, won the Good Citizenship Award. He completed his undergrad at the University of Florida then continued on attaining his Master’s Degree at Valdosta State University. He was employed by Aegis-Golden Living Center as a speech therapist.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years Marlie Austin Drummond of Ellijay, daughters, Baleigh and Morgan Drummond of Ellijay, GA, Father, Almond C. Drummond of Madison, FL, brother, Kevin Drummond of Kissimmee, FL, sister, Julie Drummond of Madison, FL., mother-in-law, Jan and Tommy Hayes of Valdosta, GA, father-in-law, Tom and Cheryl Austin of Lake Park, GA, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jessica and Jason Nelson of Warner Robbins, GA.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday February 15th, 2014 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Dr. Paul Mims officiating. Music and Singing will be by Katherine Moyers, Julie Whitworth and Bonnie Bost.
