Mr. Charles F. “Chuck” Davis age 78 of Ellijay died Wednesday February 12, 2014.Mr. Davis was born March 6, 1935 in Gilmer County the son of the late James J. and Bertha Thompson Davis. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a veteran serving with the US Army. He was a retired business man having operated East Ellijay Service Station, Discount Auto Parts and later built the Stratford Inn Motel. He is preceded in death by his wife Marlene Davis.
Survivors include: son; R.C. Bobby Davis, Buford, daughters and son in law; Sharon and Randy Jenkins, Hoschton, Erika Davis, Ellijay, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bradley and Rev. Jacob Davis officiating. Interment will be in the East Ellijay Church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Saturday from 5 until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
