Mary (Neva) Little Woods Helms passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 11, 2014. Daughter of the late John Erskine & Sarah Little, sister to the late John (Chip) Little and widowed at a young age from the late Carl H Woods. She was the beloved wife of the late Millias Don Helms III.
She is survived by son Millias Don Helms IV (Christine & Seth Lawler), daughter Amy Helms McDonald (James McDonald) & 2 grandsons, Andrew and Ryan McDonald. Blessings she had later in life. She started her career path with Eastern Airlines and was 1 of 6 to become the first female gate ticket lift agents. Becoming a mother meant the world to her, and her path changed with devotion to her kids and a very strong advocate for the public school systems. Her unique personality and loving ways will be greatly missed.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Cherry Log Christian Church in Cherry Log, GA on Sunday April 6th, @ 1:30pm.
The Family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cherry Log Church PO Box 289 Chery Log, GA 30522 or Halcyon Hospice 1435 Haw Creek Circle Ste 402 Cumming GA 30041.
